About Me: |
NOE was born and bred in Baltimore, MD. His young adult life was filled with the harsh realities of living in a city notorious for its increasing homicide rate. Despite becoming one of Baltimore's notorious eastside "drug dealers and two-time felon", NOE continued to exercise and sharpen his expression, leading him to become a young aspiring poet and songwriter. He excelled in writing about what he lived. "Writing for Sean Puffy Combs (Diddy - Danity Kane's 'Showstopper' # 1 single) was probably the best move I could have made in my career", NOE admits. Bad Boy Senior Director of A&R Conrad Dimanche said "I heard NOE's music and knew it was a "risk" but then it really wasn't because I know talent. I knew Puff was going to @!?# with NOE on the pen tip". Consequently, a rising star was born. SONY recording artist, Jim Jones saw the tremendous talent and threw caution to the wind. That landed NOE at Jim Jones' BYRDGANG/DIPSET home. NOE's music industry credibility was finally solidified. NOE @ G-UNIT - THIS IS 50.COM INTERVIEW
Below is a list of key career highlights that have come to define NOE's meteoric rise! Book ended by verses from Jim Jones and Mel Matrix, NOE delivers a flawless performance on the infectious 1st single "Byrdgang Money" and follows up on the beat pounding 2nd single "Splash" from the Asylum/Warner Brothers M.O.B Members of Byrdgang album. With the huge success of the "Byrdgang Money" single, the public's curiosity grows and leads NOE to be interviewed by industry heavyweights such as NYC's HOT 97's Funkmaster Flex, Angie Martinez, G-Unit Radio, DJ Green Lantern at Shade 45 and Kay Slay The Drama King. The M.O.B. album earns a rating of XL (equivalent to 4 out of 5 stars) based on the XXL Magazine rating system. NOE's lyrics and melodic song writing abilities are displayed on over 90 percent of the Byrdgang Album. The album debuts at # 5 on the Billboard Rap Charts. NOE's freestyle aka lyrical surgery performance on BET's Rap City "Da Basement" further galvanizes the reality that NOE is destined for stardom. VIBE Magazine names NOE the "champion of Maryland" with "Headlights" as the favorite. The FADER Magazine likens the single "Headlights" to NOE dropping a neutron bomb. NOE is featured in the 11th Anniversary XXL Magazine Issue representing Baltimore, MD in the Show & Prove section. NOE IN THE STUDIO WITH BYRDGANG
The Byrdgang/ShadyVille DJ's "NOE MORE ?'S" Mixtape quickly becomes a certified "must have" street album. It reportedly rakes in a whopping 40,000 listens in one day according to www.datpiff.com within hours of its release. "NOE MORE ?'s" features exclusive hits such as "Every Night" produced by Afro Keys, "Lime Light" produced by Uncle Ruck and the growing street anthem "Headlights" produced by Jay Funk. ThisIs50.com posts “NOE MORE ?’S” as its official "Mixtape Weekly" for 3 straight weeks in a row. Whether you choose to acknowledge his skill or not NOE has been defined by some of Hip Hop's harshest critics as “a problem”. There have been horrific accounts documented about ones rise to stardom. Some artists have achieved seemingly overnight success by simply being in the right place at the right time. It’s rare but it happens. Then there are the success stories bred from something much more organic, much more painful. NOE likens this process to "child birthing". He says, "When you first realize you have what it takes to be an entertainer it’s orgasmic. Then you realize you’re good at it and so does everyone else. Now it becomes a part of you. Now you have to prove you belong and claim your prize. Then that’s when the pain starts". “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win” - Mahatma Gandhi |
