Jaya Kumar Kerala Varma –aka- Jayen Varma, The Indian Bass Player has been in the world of music for the last three decades. In 2008 The Registry of Official World Records (Record Holders Republic) USA&UK declared him the Fastest Bassist. The technique he developed is widely known as ‘Indian slap bass’, since the Bass Guitar is played like the Indian percussion instrument Tabla.
